TSA Pre-Check for CSU Students
Colorado State University is pleased to offer TSA Pre✓® enrollments to students on campus from Monday, October 28, to Friday, November 1, 2019 for CSU students. In-person appointments will take place in the west parking lot of the Moby Arena (instead of at Denver International Airport). Enrollment costs $85 and is good for five years.

- What: TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that allows you to not have to remove your shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear, or belts during U.S. airport security

- Payment method: Can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
What are the benefits of TSA Pre✓®?
TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience. For TSA Pre✓® travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Currently, TSA Pre✓® has more than 450 lanes at 200+ U.S. airports.
The TSA Pre✓® application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA Pre✓®. This program is only available for U.S. citizens. Once approved, travelers will receive a “Known Traveler Number” (which needs to be added to a traveler’s airline profile and reservations). Travelers also will have the opportunity to utilize TSA Pre✓® lanes at select security checkpoints when flying on the 50 carriers that currently participate in TSA Pre✓®.
How do I participate in this enrollment event?
To participate in this local enrollment event, follow these steps to pre-enroll:
1. Click here to access the application page
2. Click “Start Application Now” and then “New Enrollment”
3. Fill out steps and choose “Next” at the bottom of each screen
4. Choose the location: SP-CSUS, and click “Next”
5. Select your desired appointment time – please be sure to make note of your appointment time as no reminders will be sent out.
IMPORTANT! For the in-person appointment, you will need to bring documentation proving your identity and citizenship status. A valid U.S. passport meets both requirements. You will finish the process in person by providing your fingerprints for a background check. More information can be found on the TSA Pre✓® website.

Frequently Asked Questions
|Does TSA Pre-Check also work for Global Entry?||No. Global Entry is a program run by the U.S. Customs and Border department. Right now, mobile appointments are not available for Global Entry.|
|I can’t find my email with my appointment information. How do I find out when my appointment is?||Emails come from email@example.com. First, search your email for that email address. If you are still unable to find it, you can call TSA directly at their toll-free line of 1-855-347-8371. Be sure that you tell them you are checking on a reservation for a private event.|
|Can my family or friends sign up for enrollment through me?||This event is for CSU students, staff, and their families. Family is defined as: “anyone you may travel with.”|
|Does the $85 fee cover more than one person?||No. The $85 fee is per person and every person in the family will need to register separately.|
|I don’t see CSU listed as a location when I go to sign in.||Reservation instructions include a special location code specific to this event. That code is: SP-CSUS. You need to enter the code and then click the “Search” button to be able to schedule at this event. Do not hit “Enter.”|
|Can I just show up?||No. You will need to be pre-registered for an appointment. You may be able to register as a walk-in, but note that walk-ins are handled on an “as able” basis. This means that those with an appointment will get priority service and you may be turned away and asked to come again if the agent is overbooked.|
|Can my partner, roommate, family, and/or friend sign up on my behalf?||No. Fingerprints are taken, and ID is confirmed at the time of your appointment so you must be present.|
|Is this a discounted price?||No. The pricing is set by TSA and is the same wherever you may go to get registered. The benefit is that TSA is coming to you at CSU rather than you having to go to them.|
|Does this mean a TSA agent will be here on campus?||Yes. They will be conducting appointments just like they would if you traveled to the airport for an appointment there.|
|What documentation is going to be required?||The easiest and quickest way to get set up with TSA Pre-Check is if you have your passport. Please note that it cannot be expired. If you don’t have a passport though, you can use a current driver’s license and your birth certificate. This information is listed in the appointment registration process, too.|
|Where are these appointments being held?||TSA Pre-Check will have a mobile RV on campus for this event. The location of the RV will be identified on both your final confirmation screen and can also be found here.|
|When do I have to pay?||Payment is due at the time of the appointment. There is no money due at the time of registration.|
