Education Abroad Program
University of Exeter in England, Spring 2017
Choosing to live and learn abroad was one of the best decisions I ever made. This experience enabled me to push beyond my comfort zone and made it possible to explore diverse countries and cultures. Some of the most notable trips I was able to undertake were journeying to Ireland for St. Patrick’s day and going on a month-long backpacking trip across Eastern Europe. Living in England was a terrific and welcoming experience (despite the rain) and I visited stunning sites of cultural and natural significance across the country. I chose to live in international student housing near campus and as a result was able to make friends from all over the world. I also joined multiple university groups to get to know the local students and my classes were among the most interesting and engaging that I have taken thus far. It was an incredible experience that helped me to gain self-confidence and I made unforgettable memories on this journey.
