Faculty & Staff Information

The Office of International Programs – Education Abroad unit provides academic support for many international endeavors for departments, faculty/staff members and students at CSU. The information on this page should provide an overview of support services as well as resources for educational programming abroad.

The term “Study Abroad” no longer accurately reflects the scope of international experiences available to students today. Study Abroad has expanded beyond traditional classroom-based exchanges, faculty-led programs and direct enrollment programs. Students are also looking for a greater chance of experiential “Education Abroad” in the forms of field work, internships, research, practicum, international capstone courses, service learning and alternative break programs. As you are considering new educational programming, we hope you will integrate these modes of learning and articulate Education Abroad into your CSU curriculum.

The Education Abroad unit welcomes collaborations with faculty and staff members related to all international opportunities for students. We are here to assist faculty with program development, support grants, online applications, orientations, student advising, health and safety planning, course registration/transfer credit articulation, and program promotions, as well as financial and contractual management.
