College of Agriculture Student, Douglas Winter, Receives Prestigious Boren Award

borenCongratulations to CSU student Douglas Winter who has been awarded a Boren Scholarship to study in Kyrgyzstan during the 2012-2013 Academic Year. Winter is currently an undergraduate student in Agricultural Business. He will attend the School of Russian and Asian Studies in Bishkek. He will also be studying Russian and Kyrgyz languages. David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships are sponsored by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), a major federal initiative designed to build a broader and more qualified pool of U.S. citizens with foreign language and international skills. In exchange for funding, Boren award recipients agree to work in the federal government for a period of at least one year. Applications run on a yearly cycle.
